Dr Malinga's resort is finally open, and the artist says it was 'packed' in its first week

Johannesburg – Dr Malinga's Soshanguve resort is finally open for business, and the artist says the place was "packed" in its first week.

Speaking to Channel24, Dr Malinga noted that his company, Lingas Resort, in Soshanguve was initially supposed to open on 7 December, but was postponed to 24 December.

"It was packed on Christmas day and on the 26th [of December]. On the 1st of January it was also packed," he tells us.

The muso says the place is still missing a few amenities, but construction will continue in January.

"Our aim is to have accommodation so people can sleep over when they get tired," he tells us, adding that housing will be in the form of chalets.

While he's still looking to add a few things, Dr Malinga assures us that Lingas Resort offers "fun you will never get anywhere else".

"It has the biggest swimming pool in Tshwane," he says.

The place also has parking and braai facilities available right now.

As for the Lingas Resort in Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga, the star says that one, while still under construction, is massive. He plans on setting up accommodation there as well.

For now, fans can enjoy a braai while chilling poolside at his resort in Soshanguve. The place is open from 09:00 to 22:00 every day, at the cost of R50 for adults and R40 for kids.
