Local TV personality Elana Afrika has penned a special message to her daughters "during this time of Covid-19."
Covid-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation last week, with President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday declaring a national state of disaster following the global outbreak.
At present, over 180 000 people have tested positive for the virus, while 85 cases have been reported in South Africa.
In the heartfelt poem, Elana reminds her daughters that they are important, smart, kind, loving, talented and capable of doing anything.
Along with the post, she shared a photo of herself along with her daughters, with all three wearing matching floral skirts. Elana, who has refrained from showing her children's faces on social media, partly blurs out their faces.
"I am brave. I am a good listener. I am helpful. I am happy. I try my hardest. I'm proud of myself. I care about others. I can do hard things. I believe in me," she writes in part.
Elana and her husband, Ian Bedenkamp, share two children together. Ian has two children from a previous relationship.
