Emtee: I don't consume alcohol

Johannesburg – Local rapper Emtee made headlines when a clip of him falling on stage during a performance surfaced on social media.  

Many fans questioned what happened leading up the star's collapse, adding that he needed help.  

Other video footage shows him being escorted off the stage by security staff and police officers.

Attempting to put a stop to speculation on Monday, Emtee tweeted that he does not “consume alcohol”.  

When someone asked: “What do you use then?”, the rapper responded: “Canibas (sic).” 

The concern for Emtee by his fans was obvious, with one Twitter user asking muso Reason to “talk to Emtee about his drug abuse.”  

To which Reason responded: “I actually spoke to @EmteeSA this morning. It’s actually deeper than what the Twitter streets perceive. But yes… for the sake of the love we have for him and his work… we must build him and not break him down.”
