Everything you need to know about the new season of Win a Home

Johannesburg - Get ready to the latest exciting season of interior design reality TV competition, Win a Home.

Danilo Acquisto has been named as the host of the show for the fourth season of the show, alongside fellow hosts Jeannie D and Bonnie Mbuli.

The Afternoon Express presenter and radio host is thrilled at the opportunity to host the iconic show. 

Here’s what Danilo had to say about the show returning on his Instagram:

Danilo also added: ''The home is a sanctuary. It's a place you want to come back to after a long day and know that you can kick back and be welcomed. Putting effort and time into your living spaces can be the difference between being rested and being drained, being happy and being sad. Sometimes we're just unconscious of the impact spaces can have on us and hence why I'm so excited to be embarking on another season of Win a Home as the host - I get to inspire people and their homes ensuring that everyone has a beautifully safe space to recharge. I am also excited to explore all the biggest trends and to uncover some young talented designers as we go through the highs and lows of the project."

How the competition works and what can be won:

The contestant Design Duos will be vying for two prizes. The first will be the Judges Choice Prize. The panel of expert judges will decide on a winning design duo who will receive a R100 000 cash prize. In addition, Win a Home viewers will once again be able to have their say, and vote online for their favourite pair and favourite design. The team with the most accumulated votes at the end of the competition will win R20 000. If the judges and viewers are in agreement, this means that one Design Duo could win both prizes – a total of R120 000!

One very lucky viewer will walk away with the Grand Prize of their choice of one of the three bedroom, two bathroom cluster homes, as completed and decorated by the Design Duos at Eye of Africa, to the value of R3 million.

Viewers can watch Win a Home on Fridays between 16:00 and 17:00 starting in July 2017.
