Johannesburg – TV personality Florence Masebe did not hold back when sharing her opinion on the inclusion of international act, Syleena Johnson, in the line-up of the Marula Festival.
The star reacted to a tweet which highlighted the addition of the international singer/songwriter in the Jazz and Gospel concert taking place on 4, March.
“I don’t see why the Marula Festival needs Syleena Johnson or any other overseas act. We need to get over this obsession,” Florence wrote.
In another post the actress seemed to agree with a Twitter user who suggested that South Africa “invests too much in overseas acts.”
Local acts set to perform at the Jazz and Gospel leg of the Marula Festival include Hugh Masekela, Benjamin Dube, and Mafikizolo.
