Cape Town - Former Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane took to Instagram on Tuesday claiming that she was the victim of a racist road incident on Human Rights Day.
The 30-year-old South African beauty shared details of her horrible experience with her fans and followers in two lengthy posts in which she also revealed details of the alleged culprits.
According to Bokang the occupants of another car lashed out at her and called her a "monkey" whilst making monkey sounds after she took caution while entering an intersection.
Bokang added: "I decided to move into the yellow lane to get out of the way and even let them pass, because clearly I was on the road with a bunch of Idiots. I was like ‘what is wrong with you?’ and the guy screamed at me saying 'you're a fucking monkey, monkeys can't drive. Fuck you, you monkey.'"
The former beauty queen then decided to take matters into her own hands and wanted the couple, a male and female, to apologise to her.
"I followed them and blocked the whole road. Got out of my car and stood right in front of their car and told them they can run me off if they want to, but I will not be moving until they get out and apologise," Bokang wrote on Instagram.
Bokang said she didn't care that she was making a scene as she was standing up for what is right and wouldn't tolerate being called horrible names.
She added: "21 March is to remind South Africans about the sacrifices that accompanied the struggle for the attainment of democracy in South Africa. May we love, respect and protect what our people died for. Let not their deaths be in vain."
