Cape Town - Former Our Perfect Wedding presenter, Kayise Ngqula is currently in mourning after her husband died in a car crash.

According to Sowetan Live, Farai Sibanda, who she had been married to for 10 months, died on Saturday night after succumbing to injuries sustained from a car accident that happened in Sandton on Father's Day.

The publication reports that the former presenter had been travelling in the car with her husband when the accident happened. Farai was fighting for his life in ICU while Kayise was recovering from fractures.

Speaking to DRUM, head of publicity, local entertainment channels at Mzansi Magic, Philly Khubeka confirmed that Farai’s death was caused by the accident and requested privacy for the families during their time of grieving.

"It is with great sadness that we confirm that Kayise Ngqula has lost her husband in a car accident. As our former OPW presenter – Mzansi Magic would appreciate that the media give both families the respect and privacy during this grieving process. Kayise will not be doing any interviews regarding this matter," he said.

Kayise and her husband tied the knot in a beautiful traditional ceremony in August last year and welcomed their now eight-month-old baby boy in October.
