Veteran actress Connie Chiume, who is most famous for her role as Mamokete Khuse on the soapie Rhythm City, has sadly lost her mother, MaNdlovu.

The Black Panther actress didn't elaborate on the details of her mother's death and she did not respond to our comment request at the time of publishing.

She has, however, posted a picture of them together on her Instagram page, including the date of her birth and death.

"Rest in peace mom," she wrote.

Her mother died just two days before turning 98 years old.

Her fans and industry colleagues sent her and her loved ones their condolences.

Earlier last month Mam Connie posted on her Instagram a picture of her mother wishing her good health.

"MaNdlovu, we miss you stay strong, uphole, ubuye  My mother is a blessing to all of us," she posted.

She has never been shy to appreciate her mother on social media. A month before she turned 97 years old, Connie posted to appreciate the support she has received from her mother all these years.

"I would like to take this time to appreciate my 96 year old mother, who has supported me all my life, its a true blessing to still have her around. MANDLOVU, [sic]" she wrote.
