From a marimba band to 'choppies op die kole' - Demi-Leigh and Tim's romantic two-day pre-wedding celebration in Cape Town

Cape Town - Ahead of their wedding day, former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and her fiancé Tim Tebow, marked their upcoming union with two celebrations in Cape Town.

After spending several days sightseeing in The Mother City, the couple hosted a welcome celebration for Tim's family, who travelled from America to witness the pair tie the knot, as well as a rehearsal dinner.

The welcome party was pulled off by Zavion Kotze and hosted at Deetlefs Wine Estate. Demi-Leigh wore a white gown designed by Gert-Johan Coetzee, and the American baseball player wore a pale pink suit, with a white shirt and sneakers.

"Getting to show you South African hospitality is everything," Demi-Leigh wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of the pair in the Winelands.

Guests were treated to South African cuisine and ice cream cones - and entertained by a marimba band.

Demi-Leigh wore an embellished maroon jumpsuit and black Yves Saint Laurent high heels to the second celebratory event, and Tim matched his bride-to-be in a deep red suit and black shirt.

Family and friends shared their special moments and memories with the couple during the rehearsal dinner.

"Dems, I'm so grateful to share in your culture... and thank you, South Africa, for sharing Demi-Leigh with me," Tim wrote on Instagram.

According to a source, the couple and the bridal party have booked into several accommodations in the Cape Winelands from 19 to 21 January.
