Game of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead Wright no longer attending Comic Con Africa

Johannesburg – Comic Con Africa announced on Friday that Game of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead Wright will no longer be attending the festival.

According to a statement made via social media, the reason for Isaac's cancellation is because he is "now contractually obligated to attend the Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony which is unfortunately taking place over the #ComicConAfrica weekend."

The post goes on to say: "With the greatest of remorse, Isaac has had to cancel his appearance at the Con and we are as disappointed as our fans."

Fans who paid for photo ops and autograph sessions with Isaac will be refunded.

Comic Con Africa takes place from 21 to 24 September at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
