Cape Town - Actress Luyanda Mzazi, who plays Lesedi Diale in Generations: The Legacy, is expecting her first child, DRUM has confirmed.
But while the soap’s spokesperson, Gaaratwe Mokhethi, was willing to confirm the pregnancy, she wouldn’t say how far along the actress is as "this is personal information."
She did say the 22-year-old is no longer shooting scenes for the popular soap as she is on maternity leave but that her character hasn’t been written out of the show – her storyline will continue.
""The character Lesedi has been pivotal in telling stories that truthfully mirror our society,"" she said, referring to the teen character’s history as a victim of sexual assault.
"The writers will continue shining a light on issues that affect the youth, therefore we urge viewers to continue watching Generations: The Legacy to see how Lesedi’s journey evolves."
