Tumelo Moloto is a rising Afro R&B singer who got his break after he won the Castle Milk Stout Unplugged Music Competition on Metro FM.

Tumelo started singing in Sunday school and continued on with the art all through his academic years, and even joined the UJ Choir. He studied accounting and is a qualified accountant but music slowly took over his time and he had to make space for his passion.

In 2014 a friend of his told him about the Castle Milk Stout music competition and Tumelo sent his demo through but didn’t get a call. When they finally called him about his demo, Tumelo didn’t look back. He won the competition in 2015. As a part of his winnings he was signed to Universal music on a 6 month contract to record one track.

He has since release his single ‘Ngiyam’Khumbula’ and has performed at the AfroVibes Festival in Amsterdam.

He will be performing at the Toyota Live, DRUM Beat concert at the Carnival City Lawns, Saturday, 26 August 2017 and he is sure to have you swaying to his music.
