Johannesburg – Rapper Gigi Lamayne has reportedly left record label Mabala Noise after signing with them just over a year ago.
In July 2016 the rapper was signed to the label along with a host of other artists including Nasty C.
It wasn’t an easy ride, with EFF leader Julius Malema claiming that Mabala Noise paid all new artists no less than 5 million rand – a rumour which Gigi and other stars quickly squashed.
Slikour exclusively reported on the split, saying that it was made official on Tuesday and was amicable.
Following the reports, Mabala Noise tweeted Gigi on Thursday, saying: “We love you always @Gigi_Lamayne. The future is bright, we wish you great things on your new journey. We are also truly humbled to have been part of your journey, you, the finest lyricist of our time.”
