Here are all the 5FM schedule changes

Cape Town -  5FM announced new line-up changes that will come into effect on 1 May.

Roger Goode and his team take over the reins for breakfast from 06:00 - 09:00 and Thando Thabethe and Msizi James command the afternoon drive spot from 15:00 - 18:00.

DRIVE TIME

Roger Goode will retain his team with Sureshnie Rider on news, Ms Cosmo on traffic and Robbie Kruse on sport. The afternoon drive show welcomes a brand-new member to 5FM, Durban-born Msizi James (who makes Johannesburg his new home) as Thando's co-host alongside Sibs Matiyela on news and Duran Collett on sport on The Thabooty Drive.

A CUPPA JT & WEEKEND BREAKFAST

Justin Toerien, Thando's former co-host will move to co-host with Stephanie B from 22:00 - 01:00 Mondays to Thursdays as well as take over weekend breakfast from 07:00-10:00 alongside Nadia Romanos on news and Jude van Wyk on sport.

HAMMAN TIME & THE FORBES AND FIX SHOW

Nick Hamman's Hamman Time moves to a new time slot, 09:00 - 12:00, and the show gains Carmen Reddy on news, while The Forbes and Fix Show moves to 12:00 - 15:00 with Kim Schulze on news.

ULTIMIX 

5FM introduces a new Ultimix feature from 18:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday with the Weekender5. The Ultimix by The Weekender5 will feature DJ Loyd on Mondays, Kyle Cassim on Tuesdays, Ms Cosmo on Wednesdays, Das Kapital on Thursdays and a Legends mix on Fridays.

On the station's changes, 5FM Marketing Manager and acting Station Manager Liesl Hefkie says: "The competitive radio environment challenges one all the time to think out the box, come up with amazing content, complement that with great music and all for the sake of an overall pleasurable listening experience." She adds that the new and exciting plans the station has in store is testament to the stations' tenacity to continue to deliver the best.
