Here's what R41 000 can get you at the Durban July

Johannesburg – Got R41 000 to spare? Well, why not use it to spoil you and 9 of your friends at this year's Durban July?

The Afrotainment Vodacom Durban July Marquee, hosted by Afrotainment record label owner DJ Tira, will have a glass front and be fully air-conditioned with a small outside area. Its 700 guests will experience an intimate but vibey day at the races.

Staring at 10:00, the marquee will provide non-stop entertainment until closing at 22:00.

Guests can expect to be entertained by headlining acts Cassper Nyovest and Babes Wodumo, as well as a fashion show featuring young local designers.

A VIP table for 10 will cost you R41 000. Here’s what you get for that price:

  • 10 x entrance into the Afrotainment marquee
  • 5 x golf course parking: one per two people (R170/parking)
  • 10 x Durban July gate entrance (R220/person)
  • Reserved seating at a table for 10
  • Complimentary local drinks: 10am-5pm
  • Complimentary snacks for lunch and buffet dinner
  • Private waitrons: one per two tables
  • Private bars with credit card facilities
  • Screens for the racing and private betting totes
  • Entertainment through the day with top SA artists
  • Fashion show featuring SA designers

If you don't have R41 000 just lying around, or maybe you're short a few friends, you could always go for the cheaper option.

Lounge tickets costs R2000 per person and this is what you get:

  • Entrance into the Afrotainment exclusive marquee
  • 3 sponsor welcome drinks
  • Snacks for lunch and dinner
  • Private cash bar, loos and credit card facilities
  • Screens for the racing and private betting totes
  • Does NOT include the gate entrance or parking
  • Un-reserved seating
  • Entertainment through the day with top SA artists
  • Fashion show featuring SA designers

It might seem a little expensive, but the good news is you still have a little bit of time left to save.
