“When Rockville was being put together, Shona and Connie Ferguson approached me to play the role of Lindi, which is played by Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa,”

Ayanda later played stripper Aliyah  in season three of the series.

On being on Rockville

“I had just left my job in January 2015 and, a few months later, the Fergusons called again. I was so excited to be part of the show and yet so nervous. I was star ring with all these greatly talented actors and I was a newbie. But they all made me feel comfortable and I learnt so much. It will remain one of the most rewarding moments of my life,”

On breaking up with presenter Andile Ncube after 18 months being traditionally married

I learnt a lot, but one thing that stands out is the importance of knowing oneself,” she admits. “If you know yourself, you know what deserves your time and effort.”

On her life right now

“All I can say is I’m very happy and in a great space. I’m loving everything about my life right now.”

On leaving her corporate job as a Brand manager at a cosmetic company to follow her passion in entertainment

“I left my job and took a leap of faith. Luckily for me, it’s working out. I urge people to go for what they want to do. If you don’t do what you want and are passionate about in life, you’ll live to regret it.”
