Everything that happened at the Fives Street Pop-Up

Cape Town – On Saturday, 25 November 2017, Fives Street Pop-Up hosted its third annual urban lifestyle and sporting event. The event highlighted street culture and the transformation of inner-city spaces into soccer arenas, combined with local urban music, dance and art.

Fives Street Pop-Up aims to empower creative pioneers within urban communities whilst showcasing their talent. “Our vision is to promote authentic urban culture in South Africa, using innovative experiences to grow and maintain a following, while creating positive content which inspire our inner-city creative communities, “says Adam Fine, CEO and Founder of Fives Futbol.

What happened at the Fives Street Pop-Up:

The event saw a high-energy 3v3 soccer tournament, showcasing a surfeit of soccer skills, with side-line activities just as remarkable as on-field action, including live graffiti, Bboy battles, pana cage action and performances by DJ Switch as the MC, Youngsta, YGen, DJ Barry, DJ Eazy ,DJ Lyle Satrtam, Ason and AliThatDude.  

The night was packed with media and local celebrity guest including the likes of GoodHope FM DJ and SABC 3 Presenter, Khanya ‘Kyeezi’ Siyengo, Hectic 99 Presenter, Ayanda ‘Coolkid’ Makuzeni and Mzansi Magic, IsiThembiso actor, Tiiesetso Thoka.
