‘It’s been 7 years without you’— Candy Mokwena on the loss of her son

Johannesburg - Candy Mokwena, better known by her stage name Tsa Mandebele, recently shared a heartfelt message to her late firstborn son on her Instagram.

The popular Afro-pop singer shared a photograph of her late son, Phetole, who died in a car crash seven years ago.

“It’s been 7 years without you, but still when hear a knock on my door (I) think that it may be you. I’m missing you dearly son, R.I.P SON,” she captioned the post, and forwarded words of strength to mothers who’d lost sons.

 

According to Candy, Phetole was only 17 when he lost his life – leaving behind his 5-month-old sister at the time.

The singer then shared a series of pictures which featured her both her kids, and she thanked everyone who sent her messages of support.
