May, 2011: Drugs found in Jub Jub's urine sample
A number of drugs were found in the urine samples of murder-accused Molema Jub Jub Maarohanye and Themba Tshabalala's urine sample.
Forensic analyst Jose van Rooyen, who conducted the analysis of the urine samples, told the court that the first sample was found to have cocaine, codeine, benzoyl codeine, paracetamol, diphenhydramine and cotamine.
The second sample contained traces of cocaine, codeine, benzoyl codeine, nicotine, caffeine and paracetamol.
July, 2011: Jub Jub murder trial postponed
The trial of musician Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye and co-accused Temba Tshabalala was postponed to July 14 in the Protea Magistrate's Court.
November, 2011: Jub Jub's lawyer slams investigators
Investigations in the Molemo Jub Jub Maarohanye case were improper and unfair, the Protea Magistrate's Court heard.
Defence lawyer Ike Motloung said the police had kept urine samples in a locker for 10 days before they were sent to a laboratory.
He said a cellphone allegedly used to take a video of the cars racing was sent to a corner shop, instead of a police support centre, to open the footage.

October, 2014: Jub Jub's murder conviction overturned
The murder convictions against the rapper, whose real name is, Molemo Maarohanye, were overturned in the High Court in Johannesburg. His jail term was reduced from 25 years to eight years.
May, 2015: Jub Jub prison drug claims denied

After rumours of Jub Jub possibly being released from prison as early as March 2016, his lawyer Rudi Krause told City Press that he knows nothing of an early release for the rapper - but believes his client will qualify for parole in October.
January, 2017: Jub Jub released on parole
"Jub Jub" Maarohanye and Themba Tshabalala have been released on parole after serving four years, one month and one day of their sentences.
