In a statement shared on their website, radio station Kaya FM announced that Sizwe Dhlomo will be joining their team as the host of the "newly-revamped" afternoon drive show.
"Dhlomo brings a vast knowledge of current affairs, popular culture and business acumen to the Monday - Thursday show which will also showcase feel-good and familiar sounds," the statement reads.
About the opportunity, Sizwe said: "I am very excited to be joining the Kaya FM family! Working under the tutelage of Greg Maloka is something that I regard as an honour and a privilege. I am looking forward to engaging with Kaya listeners, as we drive the station and our country into the future."
Sizwe was met with praise from fans when the news was shared on social media on Wednesday. The presenter, who broke into the industry over a decade ago as an MTV VJ, takes over Kaya's drive slot from Kgomotso Matsunyane and Ndumiso Ngcobo who parted from the station in May.
The new drive show with Sizwe at the wheel starts on 6 July, Monday to Thursday between 15:00 and 17:00.
Kgomotso Meso will be filling in the drive time slot for the month of June.
