Johannesburg – Three years after the death of her husband, race car driver Gugu Zulu, Letshego Zulu has penned a book opening up about her life over the past few years.
The book, titled I Choose To Live - Life After Losing Gugu, is "99% complete" according to Letshego and will be on shelves in July.
"I have been silently, in my own time, writing my book for the past 2yrs (sic). It's been a challenging yet cathartic experience. There were times when I would attend to just 1 paragraph then put it down for a month or 2 before gathering the strength to continue. There were plenty of tears, lots of smiles and an abundance of laughter. A bag of mixed emotions really," she captioned a picture of herself signing a contract with publishers MF Books.
Gugu died in 2016 while attempting to scale Mount Kilimanjaro as part of the #Trek4Mandela campaign.
In 2017 Letshego revisited the mountain where she made it to the top in honour of her husband.
