WATCH: Cassper gets interviewed by American DJ Sway

Cape Town – On Wednesday night at 7:30 South African time and (mid-morning in America) Cassper sat down with American, DJ Sway, to talk music, Africa and making it.

Here’s what happened, where to listen to the whole thing and pictures.

To start off Cassper’s segment radio DJ, Sway, talked about hip-hop and its ties to Africa.

He then listed Cassper’s achievements from platinum records, to selling out the dome and making his mark as an independent artist.

Sway, one of the biggest DJs in America, goes on to call Cassper the highest paid hip-hop artist in South Africa.

The interview with Cassper then starts and the Mzansi born star opens up to Sway and tells him how both his parents were teachers.

Cassper explains how that afforded him a certain level of protection when hanging out with the thugs in the hood where he grew up.

Sway asks Cassper about how South African artists see America and Cassper states that “we see America as home.”

Close to the end of the segment Cassper spits a freestyle.
