Johannesburg – Whether it’s tying a shoelace or teaching you how to drive, we all have some special memories that we share with our fathers. So in honour of the superhero’s we call “dad”, we asked some of our favourite celebs to tell us about the awesome things they learned from their fathers.

Singer, Moniqe Fiddes: “My grandfather was a professional fisherman and it was quite traditional for everyone to actually go fishing every now and then. So my dad taught me how to fish as he was pretty good at it. I actually caught about 6 little fishes once on one day.”

TV & radio personality, Romy Titus: “Be bold, be strong and to conquer any dream that I have! He made me believe I’m capable!”

TV presenter, Elle Franco: “To try again tomorrow, because tomorrow is another day.”

Radio personality, Lindy Hibbard: “My dad taught me to never give up on my dreams and to do what makes me the happiest in life. He has always supported my passion for radio broadcasting and drive to be a radio presenter. I would not be where I am right now without his support and wisdom.”

Actress, Anji Woodley: “Not get hung up on the small stuff, that if I am going to pursue my dreams as a prosperous career, to dedicate myself to it!”
