Cape Town – Marc Lottering has a new show called Aunty Merle: The Musical.

The show – based on one of his most popular characters – will be on at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town from Thursday, 30 November 2017 until Saturday, 13 January 2018. The age restriction for the show is PG14.

Here’s more about the plot of the show from the official Facebook event page:

“High Drama unfolds as Merle’s daughter Abigail (Tarryn Lamb) announces her engagement to Alan (Stephen Jubber). But it’s never smooth-sailing in the world of musicals. Abigail’s twisted and corrupt ex, Denver Paulse, (Loukmaan Adams), who holds a dodgy top job with the SABC, is determined to get her back. If not, he threatens to reveal a very dark secret which is bound to tear the lovers apart.”
