Margaret Gardiner and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters both to grace the Golden Globes red carpet

Cape Town – The only two South African women to ever win the title of Miss Universe will be making a red carpet appearance together. 

Margaret Gardiner, Miss Universe 1978, and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, the current title holder, will both be walking the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards on 7 January in Los Angeles. 

This comes after Gardiner earlier this month extended an invite to Nel-Peters to join her as a guest at the prestigious event. 

Gardiner confirmed the news on Facebook, writing: “Just confirmed. It seems like Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will be my personal guest at the Golden Globes. If this happens it will be her first public appearance in the USA. Watch the Golden Globes on 7 January on NBC News to see if you can glimpse her on the red carpet.”
