Minister Nathi Mthethwa to AKA: Keep making Africa proud

Johannesburg – When AKA’s not jet-setting around the world, he’s releasing killer tracks, or winning awards – what we’re trying to say is, he stays winning! And we’re not the only ones who noticed.

On Wednesday, Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, took some time to congratulate the rapper on “making Africa proud” after the star received a BET nomination for Best International Act.

“#AfricaDay2016 @akaworldwide I’m pleased to congratulate you on your BET award nomination. Well done. Keep making Africa proud.”

The minister is clearly a fan as he even used AKA’s signature “M” emoji in his tweet.

Good to know the rapper has a couple of fans in parliament, especially after he landed himself on the wrong side of the EFF after revealing that he will no longer be performing at EFF or DA events.
