Motorsport meets music as SA's largest acts gear up for Kyalami 9 Hour

Johannesburg – After 37 years, the historic Kyalami 9 Hour will return to motorsport, and this time some of SA's biggest artist will be there too.  

Fans who plan on making their way to the racetrack for the three-day event can expect to see the likes of Black Coffee, Shekinah, Prime Circle and Sun El Musician hit the stage. 

"With the addition of a star-studded line-up to this groundbreaking event, we truly feel that we have catered for fans from all walks of life. This will be entertainment at its best. Speed and sound, family and fun. It's an event for everyone and we feel privileged and honoured to not only host the top racing drivers in the world, but to also provide a platform for some of South Africa's top performing artists that truly know how to entertain," Tom Pearson-Adams, CEO of the Kyalami 9 Hour said in a press statement. 

The event takes place from 21 to 23 November.

Music kicks off on the Friday (22 November) with popular rock band Prime Circle as well Akanamli hit-maker Sun El Musician among the acts performing. 

Black Coffee, who recently attended the Grand Prix in Belgium as a special guest, takes to the "Africa Is Not a Jungle" stage on Saturday (23 November).

The stage is the DJ's "vision aimed at amplifying international appreciation of African music," the press statement explains. 

Joining Black Coffee will be artists like Shekhinah, Julian Gomes and Kid Fonque.
