Mr South Africa 2020 entries are now open

Cape Town - Entries for Mr South Africa 2020 are now open, and here's how you can enter.

According to the website, "excellence, integrity, professionalism, competence and compassion" are some of the characteristics that define Mr South Africa.

The ideal candidate would "exhibits the qualities that set him apart from the average man." 

Heinrich Gabler was crowned Mr South Africa 2019 at a glamorous event held at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay in Cape Town in June.

Mr South Africa 2016 second prince and Mr Photogenic 2017, JP Robberts, in 2018 decided to take over the Mr South Africa brand, saying: "The Mr South Africa had suffered damage to its reputation in previous years and I wanted to change to country's attitude toward the pageant."

If you possess any of these qualities and want to represent South Africa on a global scale, you could be crowned the next Mr South Africa.

To be eligible to enter, entrants need to submit an entry form, along with a copy of their ID, head and shoulders photo, a full/half-length swimwear photo and a full/half-length photo dressed in formal wear.

Along with the supporting documents, entrants also need to pay an R500 entry fee.
