Nadia Nakai apologises for her homophobic tweets from 2010

Johannesburg - Nadia Nakai recently took to her Twitter account to issue an apology for homophobic tweets that have resurfaced.

The tweet written by the female rapper was from 2010. In the post she wrote: “This movie is about a male mermaid?! Gay!! Why am I watching this?”

Actress Boity Thulo was also recently in hot water for her homophobic tweets that she wrote almost a decade ago and has since apologised to her fans. 

Nadia who also found herself in trouble for similar tweets has issued an apology to her fans.  The tweet has since been deleted.

“Hai guys pulling tweets from 2010? I was childish cos I was a child!! I'm sorry if they offended you. It just further shows how people on these twitter streets don't know me and my heart.”

Although the 28-year-old hip hop rapper apologised, tweeps were not very forgiving this time.
