Nandi Madida set to host Afropunk main stage in New York

Johannesburg - Nandi Madida recently announced on her Instagram that she would be the host on the Green Stage at Afropunk.

Nandi Madida has become well known for not only her trendsetting haircuts but also her stylish fashion sense which is everything that Afropunk is about.

She was recently a BET Africa host and soon she will be gracing one of the biggest stages at Afropunk 2018.

The BET A-lister made history in 2017 when she announced that she would be the first African to host at Afropunk Brooklyn. Nandi didn’t end there and also went on to host the first ever Afropunk Africa 2017.

The 30-year-old songstress took to Instagram to make the big announcement,

”It is such an honor for me to make history for my continent and represent HER as the host ?? for Afropunk on the Green Stage, she captioned the post.

Adding: “The Green Stage is the biggest stage at Afropunk, and to be doing this in New York City really shows that dreams do come true. This is going to be amazing! Thank you”

Afropunk is an annual music and arts festival based in New York, Brooklyn and in 2017 the festival finally made its African debut which was hosted in Johannesburg at Constitution Hill.

Nandi Madida will not be the only South African celebrity representing Africa at the annual Afropunk festival in New York, Sho Majozi and Nakane are also set to perform at one of the biggest music and arts festivals in the world.
