On Friday Huawei launched its P40 Series in SA, and with that, welcomed a number of local stars into their family.

The virtual event was hosted by Minnie Dlamini and saw famous faces like Rouge, DJ Tira and Bobby van Jaarsveld make an appearance.

Huawei also used the opportunity to welcome brand new ambassadors Nasty C, Thando Thebethe, Nay Maps, Tamaryn Green and David Tlale to the team.

Over R500 000 worth of prizes were given away to viewers who tuned in, including P40 devices and shopping vouchers.

"The Huawei P40 Series is equipped with Huawei's most sophisticated camera system to date, capable of producing breath-taking imagery with a lightweight chassis. These devices are testament to the fact that Huawei is unafraid to break the rules and to exceed expectations, and it does all of that in style," a press statement says about the new devices.
