Nigerian star D'banj's one-year-old son drowns in pool - reports

Johannesburg – Nigerian celebrities have sent out messages of support to muso D’banj after news broke that his one-year-old son, Daniel reportedly died. 

According to Bella Naija, Daniel drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday.  

Channel24 reached out to D'banj's team for comment but didn't receive any feedback by the time of publishing this article.

D’banj did however post the following on his Instagram account; “Trying times. But my God is Always and Forever faithful.”

Many stars also reached out to the muso in support, including Banky W, Peter from duo P Squared, and Don Jazzy.

Davido, who was in LA for the BET Awards at the time the news broke, sent condolences to D’banj from the BET stage when he collected his award for Best International Act.  

“I want to send condolences to my big brother, the actual artist that paved the way for us to be on this stage, D’banj. My condolences are with you,” he said during his acceptance speech.
