Nomzamo clears up 'real mom' story

Johannesburg – Discovering a long-lost child can be a joyful experience… unless that child isn’t really yours, then it’s just weird.

Back in May, muso Zakes Bantwini made headlines when he confronted a man who claimed to be his real father (read more on there here). Well, there must be something in the water, because now, actress Nomzamo Mbatha has fallen prey to a similar claim.

The star cleared the air on Instagram on Sunday after the Sunday Sun ran a story about a woman named Elizabeth Mbatha, who claims to be her real mother.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and that’s all Nomzamo needed to set the record straight.

"My mommy in the middle and my older sister @w.mbatha .. Sunday Sun ran a story AGAIN about a woman claiming to be my mother, some Lobola nonsense and curses… Dry news week. This was our reaction last night," she captioned the glamorous shot.

Besides laughing off rumours this weekend, Nomzamo also spent some of her time hosting the Simon Sabela Awards on Saturday, looking super hot as usual. Check out some stunning pics from the event here
