Nomzamo honoured as Woman of the Year by Nigeria's KOKO magazine

Johannesburg – It’s been a remarkable year for Nomzamo Mbatha – from hosting at the Essence Music festival in New Orleans to shooting a campaign for PUMA alongside model Cara Delevingne.

The star has definitely made the most of 2017 and her efforts have not gone unnoticed.

On Tuesday the actress revealed that she had been named Woman of the Year by KOKO magazine – an online fashion and lifestyle magazine in Nigeria.

Honoured by the announcement, Nomzamo wrote in part: "Me? 2017 WOMAN OF THE YEAR? WOW… This is for all the girls from dusty streets across Africa. Friends, 2017 was perhaps one of the most challenging, yet rewarding years of my life & career. Practically living out of my suitcase and in & out the airport. (sic)"

Other stars nominated in the category include Bonang Matheba, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage.
