Nomzamo Mbatha takes centre stage at Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo

Cape Town - Actress and 2016 Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo Cape Town best dressed winner, Nomzamo Mbatha, returns to Val de Vie Estate on the 4th of March to host the 2017 edition of the popular social and polo event.

Attended by local and international celebrities and VIPs, the event offers the perfect blend of polo, a scenic day in the Cape Town sun, beautiful people, champagne and a fashion festival on the sidelines.

"Nomzamo is charming, cool, poised and fashionable. As the event continues to grow in following and popularity, we look to reinvent and add newness to the event experience.  As we execute the seventh edition of the event, we look forward to an event exclusively hosted by a female." said VIVIDLUXURY's CEO, Anina Malherbe-Lan, one of the event co-founders.

Mbatha, best know for her role on Isibaya, said: "After my surprise best dressed win last year, I am thrilled to return to Val de Vie as the host. I look forward to toasting to the sport of kings as I undertake my MC duties during the event. Look out for some surprises in keeping with the 'Clicquot Journey' theme".

The 2017 dress code is Cruise Collection, which dares event attendees to dress in their best resort wear outfit, inspired by the iconic fashion capitals of the world; Paris, Milan and New York.

Nomzamo Mbatha on how to make the polo greens your runway

1. What are your style tips for ladies attending the polo?
My take on a polo chic look is simple: daytime chic meets sleek sophistication, match the trends by wearing a cool jumpsuit, bias cut dresses, comfortable heels such as wedges or block heels and statement sunglasses.

2. What's your recommendation for the boys?
For the gents I suggest cool linen suits, colourful pocket squares and loafers.

3. What can we expect from your look this year?
I am wearing a couture dress by Jacques La Grange couture for my official MC duties. Expect timeless glamour by day. For the after party, I will wear something sassy from Rich Factory.
