Nomzamo shares touching footage from her time in Kenya

Johannesburg – While in Kenya on a UN refugee fimiliarisation mission, TV personality Nomzamo Mbatha has shared a few videos on her Instagram account, allowing fans to follow her journey in the country.

The star first visited the Ngong Hills Sports Academy, meeting refugee athletes who have qualified to race at the Olympics.

“What was once running from home because of a civil war, leaving all that you know and own, to changing the narrative of that race. Now running with athletes from around the world, running towards a greater purpose. Fueled by HOPE and no longer destitution,” she captioned a video taken at the academy.

The actress later moved on to the Kakuma Refugee Camp, home to over 180 000 forcibly displaced Africans from 13 countries, spending time with some children at a school.
