MEDIA personality, Ntando Duma, who gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Sbahle, three months ago, is back with a bang. The 22-year-old Soweto-born star, who recently joined Touch HD, hosts a daily one-hour show called Black Twitter Unleashed, which focuses on trending topics on social media, mostly Twitter. Ntando also speaks to the colourful and opinionated people behind the tweets on her show.
LOVING EVERY MOMENT
Ntando loves the show and is proud to be part of the station. She plans to grow herself as a brand. “I have found a love for radio,” declares the former Rhythm City actress on her Instagram account. Touch HD manager, Martin Vilakazi, says the station approached Ntando to do the show. “We loved what we saw. She is a natural. She has energy and is professional. She has a lot of followers, which does well for her show,” he says. Ntando, who has more 760 000 followers on Instagram, is also one of the presenters of MTN MegaStar, an online talent competition.
BABY DADDY WOES
These new ventures will be a good distraction for Ntando, whose baby daddy, Junior De Rocka, was reportedly seen spending time with his ex-girlfriend while Ntando was pregnant with their baby. Rumours were rife that they were back together. To add salt to the wound, he told an entertainment and gossip website that their child was not planned. News later surfaced that the two had split up, but this is yet to be confirmed. Ntando has also faced some backlash on social media for her parenting skills. Some people have criticised her for posting pictures of her sexy pregnant body and baby girl, Sbahle, on social media.
NTANDO ON MOTHERHOOD
But it looks like Ntando is not bothered by the nasty comments and is enjoying every moment of being a mom. A daily newspaper quoted her as saying,” This moment came at the right time, I think God knew I had to have a baby at this time. It’s so amazing, I’m having another one soon.” On many occasions she has expressed her happiness about being a mother. She once posted a social media video of herself holding Sbahle, captioning it, “Daily dose of happiness”. Ntando is not the only star in the family as little Sbahle has already grabbed an endorsement deal with a nappy company. At the time of going to press, both Ntando and Junior De Rocka were not available for comment after numerous attempts to reach them.
