According to Cassper Nyovest, "over 150 000 people" tuned in to watch him take on Trevor Noah in an online Fifa match on Tuesday evening.

Cassper has been challenging local celebs to Fifa games since SA went into a 21-day lockdown to battle the coronavirus.

Using the hashtag, #CassperStayAtHomeGames, the rapper has encouraged fans to stay home and stay entertained by keeping score as he plays against other celebs.

On Tuesday, Cassper took on The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, streaming the match live on his social media accounts.

"Over 150 000 people watched that instalive with Trevor Noah!!! That's crazy!!!!" the Move For Me hitmaker wrote.

Cassper played three games against Trevor, with the comedian taking the victory in the first two.

"There's a saying in life: you must look on the bright side. I got chowed two games bad, bad. But then I won one, so it counts for something," Cassper said in a video posted on Instagram, adding that he may play Trevor again in the coming days.

The game trended on Twitter and even Minister Nathi Mthethwa got in on the action.

"Oh yes. The first match Trevor was playing with Kaizer Chiefs and Refiloe was playing with Orlando Pirates. The second match was close but Trevor ran away with it near the end. The third one Refiloe held on for the win. Great games," the minister wrote when someone asked if he had been watching.
