Pearl Thusi and Lasizwe clash in heated twar

Johannesburg - Things got heated on Twitter on Wednesday when TV personality Pearl Thusi clashed with online star Lasizwe in a twar that had everyone shook.

It all started when Lasizwe tweeted that he had a new found fondness for local track iWalk Ye Phara after Beyoncé used it in a short clip on social media.

"All of a sudden Naye Le Walk sounds so Good after Beyoncé posted it!" Lasizwe wrote.

Apparently Pearl was not happy with his tweet, writing in response: "When did it not sound good?"

The actress added: "The idea that American validation is the only thing that makes us greater is what hold us back the most yazi. But anyway."

But it was the following tweet from Lasizwe that really seemed to set Pearl off:

"Okay Sizwe. Let's play," Pearl responded, before questioning whether or not "American validation is all that matters" to the social media star.

There were a few tweets back-and-forth with Lasizwe trying to explain himself while also throwing a couple of jabs at Pearl.

Not one to back down easily from a confrontation, Pearl retaliated with a few spicy remarks of her own.

And when Lasizwe tried to find some common ground, pointing out that just like Pearl, he will be starring in his own show on MTV, things got a little awkward.

Well, a little more awkward then it already was.

"Our paychecks don't look the same babe. Stop this. Shows on any channel don't have the same budget," Pearl wrote.

This was followed by a few more clapbacks from either side, but Lasizwe eventually wrapped things up on his end with a tweet in which he said he was proud of himself for standing up to a bully.

Adding that he did it "for all the people who constantly get bullied on social media and are expected not to defend themselves".
