Cape Town - Radio and TV personality Penny Lebyane is opening up about her struggles in the radio industry.
Taking her to her Twitter page, she shared that she can’t keep quiet anymore because "she had buried too many people."
"I’ve buried too many ppl to keep quiet," she tweeted
She says things got so bad for her that she was admitted into a psychiatric ward.
"I spent 10days in a psychiatric ward cos of Entertainment Industry bs especially #BlackRadio to suck my thumb bury my head," she added.
This comes after the firing of Metro FM presenter DJ Fresh and the suspension of Radio 2000's Phat Joe.

Penny has been open about her struggles with mental illness due to the pressures and frustration she experiences in showbiz.
“After a left Motswako [sic] I had a breakdown for like a year. I went into a depression for like a year,” she told Anele on Real Talk.
Even though she was reluctant to share the details of what had happened, Penny said it’s pointless to tell others to stand up for themselves when you don’t do it for yourself.

Even though she’s been vocal about most things including her breakdowns, she once admitted to the Sunday Times newspaper that after she had a breakdown due to postnatal depression she was worried about a backlash. “I’m a hyperactive A-type personality and I had everything organised. But my world crumbled when I had a breakdown and had to be admitted for treatment. My biggest fear was the media backlash,” she said.
