And then there were Four ?? This pregnancy has been different to the rest. I had nausea and vomiting up until the day before and experienced loads more discomfort. I should of guessed that delivery would be different than my previous two that mirrored each other perfectly. I was prepared for a long induction procedure, hours spent walking up and down in hospital passages and the random conversations hubby and I find ourselves having while we wait. I entered the doors of the hospital at 8pm on Monday evening to prepare for my induction the following day. I will be honest, a night to rest seemed pretty exciting. Daddy would stay with me till I’m settled then home to the boys for the night. Once settled hubby left and I was ready to get some much needed shut eye, the big day would be tomorrow. I would be meeting my fourth little prince and i couldn’t wait. The contractions couldn’t wait either and within hours I was having contractions and pains like I’ve never experienced before. Just this time was different, No husband to hold my hand , No words of encouragement from the man I love, Just Me, the icy room and the one very sweet nurse on duty. It was in that moment I found strength that’s buried in each Mom. The strength to put the needs of everyone ahead of yourself and continue with whats best for your children. So I held my own hand Prayed by myself Encouraged myself Reminded myself of my strength By 5am I was moved to a bigger delivery room to prepare for the delivery, dad arrived just in time ,he has always been an incredible delivery partner and I couldn’t be more grateful he was with me when they started the epidural. At 10:07 on Tuesday 28 May entered into the world my fourth son. Khai Jamal Adams Weighing 3,4kg A little piece of heaven sent for me to love. Usually within in a few days I’m up and at it however this recovery process has been longer, Today is Day 6 I’m not thriving like I would of hoped but I’m surviving and I’m ok with that. My Darling Khai, My heart has never been happier. You are Magical my Son, I’m so excited to experience life with you. Swipe to see my Favorite photo of dad @emo_adams praying for his Son ??
