PICS: Demi-Leigh is back on home soil after handing over Miss Universe crown

Johannesburg - After handing over the Miss Universe crown to her successor, Catriona Gray from the Philippines, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has returned to South Africa, posting snaps from her hometown of Sedgefield in the Western Cape.

Since the end of her reign, the star has officially moved out of the New York apartment she shared with the current Miss USA Sarah Rose Summers.

Posting pics of herself and her dog on the beach in Sedgefield on Thursday, Demi wrote: "Benji says, '2019 smells exciting'. What's been your favourite memory of 2018?"
