PICS: Miss Teen Namibia contestant goes viral for looking like Regina George

Cape Town - The internet is convinced 16-year-old Namibian beauty queen Clarisse Muller is the real life Mean Girls villain, Regina George.

Twitter was thrown for a loop by the uncanny resemblance between the Miss Teen Namibia runner-up and the fictional character portrayed by Rachel McAdams in the 2004 teen movie.

The photo that caught everyone's attention was first shared by Afterbreak Magazine, who interviewed the teenager about her success at the 2018 Miss Teen Namibia pageant.

The digital magazine - which only has 170 followers on Twitter - couldn't anticipate the sudden influx of traffic and the site soon crashed after the post went viral and is still down (at the time of writing).

About all the newfound attention Clarisse told BuzzFeed News: "At first I thought it was weird but I soon got used to it and it's actually fun."

We don't know about you, but we think that it's so fetch!
