Johannesburg – South Africa took over Hollywood when Heavy-K, Anatii, Da Les, LootLove and Ayanada Thabethe attended an exclusive party with guest host Common at the Absolut Elyx House on Saturday.
The event brought the Absolut Elyx tour of LA to a close after the local stars spent four V.I.P days in the City of Angels.
Speaking about event, award-winning US rapper Common said in a press statement: “It was a blessing for me to go to South Africa last year and I am excited that African culture is finally becoming part of the global cultural narrative. We have to keep building that cultural bridge.”
Set in the Hollywood hills overlooking the city, Heavy K, Da Les and Anatii performed to a celebrity audience. Guests included movie star Stephen James, music producer Karl Rubin, and Black Panther star Sope Aluko.
“It was so cool to bring our music to the US and to know that people really felt it and got down to it,” Heavy K said about the experience.
Before the big night the SA celebs got the chance to walk the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame, later having lunch at West Hollywood’s legendary Chateau Marmont.
