Cape Town - It's been 25 years since the Van Tonder family last appeared on our TV screens, and we're feeling a little nostalgic.
The series (1989 - 1992) - written and directed by Willie Esterhuizen - was based in the mining town of Orkney, close to Klerksdorp and followed the Van Tonder family.
The head of the household, Hendrik (Zack du Plessis), worked on the mines and his wife, Maggie (Annette Engelbrecht), was a housewife. They had four children, Ouboet, Bennie, Hester and Wimpie.
But teenagers Hester and Wimpie definitely stood out with their foolish antics, from secretly to smoking in the garage to sneaking around and dating for the first time.
If you're feeling somewhat nostalgic too, you can re-watch your favourite Orkney Snork Nie episodes on Showmax.
