Cape Town – Hollywood's finest walked the red carpet at the annual Met Gala in over the top ensembles in keeping with this year's theme, Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion.
The Metropolitan Museum said in a statement last year that the Costume Institute exhibit got its framework from a 1964 essay by Susan Sontag, Notes on 'Camp'.
The Daily Show host Trevor Noah who has become a regular at the event sported a low key look.
The South African comedian wore a black suit with a white statement T-shirt with the words: "This is all a formality."

The 35-year-old shared a photo of himself on Instagram alongside Katy Perry in a burger get up with the caption: "Camp aesthetics delights in impertinence. Camp opposes satisfaction and seeks to challenge", a definition of Camp.
