Johannesburg – Rapper Reason took to Twitter on Tuesday to vent his frustration and disappointment in local radio station, MetroFM, for not playing his music as much as other stations do.
The star, who’s song, Yipikayay, gained him some international attention just last week, tweeted, “I got to look at my radio spins the other day, and realised that @metrofmsa still don’t play my music as much. I can safely say. I tried.”
In another tweet he added: “It’s hard for me to celebrate the fact that an international icon identifies my greatness, while the biggest station in MY country doesn’t.”
The rapper seemed genuinely disappointed that stations like YFM, 5FM, community stations, and campus radio all play his music much more than MetroFM does. “It hurts sometimes,” he tweeted.
