Riky Rick: We’ve been doing this since 2006

Cape Town – He might be nominated for best newcomer at the Samas but the man behind Boss Zonke - Riky Rick- has been making beats for years and years.

Riky shared some of these tunes – dating back to 2006- on his Snapchat (a social network where seconds long clips are uploaded and can only be viewed once by followers) listing his thinking behind making different styles or penning different verses, like when he wanted to be underground.

Then the rapper turned his thoughts to this weekend where he is nominated to win numerous awards. Saying that “we’ve been doing this since 2006 and now we’re at the Samas, it’s a dream bro… some people think it’s a game but it’s not…”
