Cape Town - What was supposed to be an inspirational and sweet dedication from rapper Riky Rick to his wife Bianca Naidoo quickly turned sour after social media users picked it apart.

In the Twitter post, the Voice SA coach shared a picture of himself with his wife and captioned it: "Do yourself a favour and find a strong woman who loves you despite your faults. Give her some babies then live the rest of your life with her. There will be struggles but if its real you will always see brighter days. [sic]"

Twitter users, however, did not take kindly to the wording of the post and even went as far as to insinuate that there might be something the rapper has done wrong in his relationship.

Responses ranged from people saying the rapper cheated on her to that he gave her baby to "trap her" in the relationship with him.

Some users sided the with the rapper:

Riky and Bianca have been together for the past eight years and have two children together – the eldest being from Bianca’s previous relationship.

In an interview with Move!’s sister magazine Drum, Riky and Bianca spoke about how important it is for them to keep their family together.

"Growing up in Durban, Cape Town and Joburg, I didn’t grow up in a family where everyone was together as my parents were divorced," Riky shared.

"So for Bianca and me this is a new journey. We are trying to do things the right way. We’re not entirely sure what the right way is so everything is a learning curve. The most important thing for this family is for everyone to be happy and feel like they belong as a part of something bigger," he explained.

Bianca agreed with her husband, saying: "We want happiness to be the key to our family so it’s a learning process every day and we are trying to figure out how to do it right as a unit."
