Samkelo Ndlovu: Stop waiting for a man to celebrate you

Cape Town - Actress, Samkelo Ndlovu speaks her mind and doesn't fear what people might think!

"Why the hell am I existing for a man's approval," she wrote on Instagram. And she continued to express how passionate she is about celebrating herself, being true to herself and not changing for a man.

She ended off her post by saying: "Celebrate yourself and stop waiting for men to. Be yourself in all your glory. Because woman, you are glorious! Without having the man to say you are. You just are."

A friend asked me the other day, do I behave differently in the presence of "a guy" than I do when I'm with her. As in, do I say and do most of the sarcastic and unapologetically crass things that I say when I'm with her. Am I not scared of what he'll think. I went off at her and gave her the longest answer that basically meant, why the hell am I living my life to impress men? Why the hell am I existing for a mans approval? She then said, "wow!! That answer came from a deep place" - as if to say, maybe she opened a wound. Kanti nix. No wound opened. I'm just passionate about existing as a woman and making it about ME as a woman and existing for ME. Because why aren't men taught the same? To behave in a way that says "women are watching" or "what will women think of you" - I exist. And it not about anybody else but me. Celebrate yourself and stop waiting for men to. Be yourself in alllll your glory. Because woman, you ARE glorious!! Without having the man to say you are. You just are. ????????
